چکیده
The increasing urban development, led by concrete, requires a higher availability of materials and energy, it will be responsible for high waste generation. To face the exploitation natural resources, use fossil fuels reduction disposal, new environmental-friendly strategies emerge accomplishing circular economy principles. In this research, poor reactive agro-industrial ashes as sand replacement in cement-based is investigated. Poor sugar cane bagasse (fly bottom ash -SCB FA SCB BA, respectively) from power plant Dominican Republic have been used substitution rates 10%, 20% 30% weight sand. Physico-chemical characteristics are investigated correlated to performance bio-concretes. showed being an enhancer durability-related properties concrete even with content silica form quartz, due capability modifying microstructure additional binding capacity chlorides ions. Durability-related tests (open porosity test, electrical resistivity capillary absorption test chloride migration test) conducted at 28, 60, 90 240days. Direct correlations exist when compared resistance against concretes FA, not so absorption. This demonstrates inadequacy establishing conclusions about durability bio-concretes based on run independently. substitutes aggregates only reduces consumption but can deliver potential benefits terms compressive strength durability.

Use of Slag/Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) Blends in the Production of Alkali-Activated Materials
Blast furnace slag (BFS)/sugar cane bagasse ash (SCBA) blends were assessed for the production of alkali-activated pastes and mortars. SCBA was collected from a lagoon in which wastes from a sugar cane industry were poured. After previous dry and grinding processes, SCBA was chemically characterized: it had a large percentage of organic matter (ca. 25%). Solutions of sodium hydroxide and sodium...

In studies conducted to determine the workability of concrete, the bagasse ash and rice husk ash were added as a partial replacement for cement. Trial mixes with the varying water cement ratio, replacement percentage, quantity of super plasticizer and viscosity modifying agent, were prepared and tested. The results were used as the basis for defining three optimum cement replacement mix proport...
